Kelcroft – Legionella Prevention in Buildings Seminar Hong Kong

 

Since the discovery of the Legionellae genus in 1976, we have slowly learned more about this deadly pathogen. There are hundreds of papers, codes and guidelines, and yet every day people still contract this potentially fatal disease.

This technical meeting will address the prevention measures in buildings, the responsibility of building owners and facility management team. The technical meeting will also give a review of some well-known cases in history.

 

About the Speaker
Mr John A. Herbert is the principal and founding director of Kelcroft, a firm providing built environment consultancy services for Asia headquartered in Hong Kong SAR. John is an internationally recognised building Legionella expert, and he has nearly thirty years experience gained over three continents, covering buildings, data centres, and manufacturing sectors.

He is an ASHRAE member, Panel Chair for BEAM Faculty Innovation and Framework of the BEAM Society, a member of the BEAM Water Use expert panel, a member of the Hong Kong Association of Energy Engineers, and vice-chairman/director of the Hong Kong Association of Energy Services Companies.
